Summer is here, and that means it’s time to officially finish the big project that has been launching my romantasy series Artisan Magic in hardcover format. The third book is ready for production to start rolling, so that means the campaign will be going live on Kickstarter soon!
The Artificer’s Wife is the third installment in the trilogy and, like the other books, it’s a stand-alone story within the series. The book follows Rilion, the Third Prince of Ranor, and all that unfolds when he’s sent to unravel a mystery alongside the assassin that tried to kill his best friend.
The hardcover edition will match the other two books in the series, with different-but-similar hard case and dust jacket designs.
These are mockups, of course, so the final version of the book may be a slightly different shade of green when actually printed, but the cover designs are final!
In addition to the regular hardcover version, there will also be a limited premium version with hand-airbrushed sprayed edges and a high-quality satin ribbon bookmark in the binding.
The book’s interior will feature cream pages, a grayscale map, and a decorative two-page chapter spread, which features the branches of the locust tree that grows in my own back yard! The cover designs, map, and chapter visuals were all artwork done by me, so you know this book has plenty of special touches straight from the author. Plus, every copy will come signed!
Not only will the book itself be beautiful, but it will come with a premium vinyl sticker of Rilion and Aedi, the main characters, in chibi versions… and also comes with a high-quality double-sided bookmark featuring artwork of Rilion on one side and Aedi on the other.
The chibi stickers are my own artwork, while the bookmark is a collaboration between me and my sister Lissie, where I have done the line art and she has done the coloring. Every book (even ebook versions!) will come with a digital download of printable line art for the bookmarks so you can color your own, and a high-resolution copy of the character artwork. That includes the chibis, too!
And for those who may have missed the release of the first two books, the special premium versions of The Assassin’s Bride and The Spymaster’s Prize will be available for new backers.
